sean is beginning to understand the concept of time. one word he’s been using a lot is “mah-row” (tomorrow). i don’t know when he started using the word, but i know it was after i told him we couldn’t do something right away, but we had to wait until tomorrow. he repeated what i said with “mah-row” at the end.
now, when i tell him we can’t do something right away, he’ll say what he wanted to do and add “mah-row” at the end. he wanted to watch “choo choo vee-yo” (choo choo video) right when i was putting him down for nap, and i said we weren’t going to watch it. then he said, “choo choo vee-yo mah-row”. i smiled and said maybe tomorrow.
i’m not sure sean understands that “mah-row” means tomorrow; i think he just understands it as “sometime later”. even though he doesn’t completely understand the concept, it’s neat to see that he’s starting to understand abstract concepts like time.
